Hi,

The feature : "hide columns" is a fantastic thing

It could be very interesting to add the feature "set column visible at position X" to allow the user to display the most interesting columns "for him" at the beginning of the view

Hey,

I thought about this while implementing the hide columns feature. There are however several practical things when doing that: what if the model removes columns and inserts columns ? I also believe there can be confusion about column() numbers in the model versus in the view API.

What could make sense is to make this something that is not accessible through the API, but rather only a feature that the user controls, i.e. that the drag/drops columns in the order he wants ?
